The Broadway show, Six The Musical, which is a pop music version of the story of the wives of King Henry VIII, had some very distinguished audience members recently. Making good use of her time in the Big Apple to film two episodes of Sesame Street, First Lady Dr. Jill Biden and a group of friends popped into the Brooks Atkinson Theatre on Feb. 15 to see the play.
As for her Sesame Street debut, Flotus tweeted out, “Thank you for welcoming me to the neighborhood, Elmo! Commander and I are ready for a game of fetch on the South Lawn anytime!”
A few nights later, on Feb. 18, Governor Kathy Hochul hit up a performance of Six, where she told the audience, “Welcome to the Queendom of New York! Hello everyone, I know that, none of you paid money to hear a politician speak, unless you thought you were at Hamilton by mistake. So we’re good. Right? I am here just to thank you. Thank you for becoming part of New York’s greatest comeback ever. By showing up and supporting Broadway, and supporting Broadway, and supporting the amazing cast of Six, the fans, the whole crew, thank you for being part of this.”………
Alec Baldwin was spotted heading out for coffee in Manhattan on Feb. 19, as a New Mexico district attorney revealed to Vanity Fair it was possible the actor might have fired the bullet that killed Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins without pulling the trigger.
The breakthrough revelation by Santa Fe DA Mary Carmack-Altweis comes just after Hutchins’ family sued the beleaguered actor, claiming he is in ‘complete denial’ of his role in her death and is ‘blaming others’ over the Oct. 21, 2021 shooting. According to Vanity Fair, Carmack-Altweis told the publication it was possible the gun that killed Hutchins went off without Baldwin pulling the trigger, as he had previously claimed in a December interview with ABC.
The DA said she asked an investigator in the case to bring their own revolver and conducted an official test with two independent inspectors who made sure the gun was empty. She added they visually showed her you can pull the hammer back without actually locking it.
Said Carmack-Altweis, “So you can pull it back without actually pulling the trigger and without actually locking it, and then if you let it go, the firing pin can hit the primer of the bullet”……
