Blimps and booms on the Fourth

Blimps raced over the Hudson River on July 4, reportedly at speeds of up to 25 miles per hour. Down on the ground at the Battery, the New York State Veteran Corps of Artillery, despite appearances, were not trying to down the dirigibles, but to salute America.
