Bronx detectives are looking for the suspect responsible for a quadruple shooting on Saturday night that left one man dead and three other individuals seriously injured.
Police said the gunfire erupted at about 10:26 p.m. on Jan. 21 near an apartment house at 1121 Morris Ave. in Concourse, across the street from Mott Playground.
Officers from the 44th Precinct, in responding to a 911 call about shots fired, found two victims at the location: a 29-year-old man shot in the left arm, and a 33-year-old man who was wounded in the stomach.
EMS rushed both men to Lincoln Hospital, where the 33-year-old man was pronounced dead; police have withheld his identity, pending family notification. The 29-year-old man, meanwhile, was listed in stable condition.
Later, police located two other wounded individuals connected to the shooting at other locations in the Bronx.
Authorities said one victim, a 30-year-old man, was located at the corner of Sherman Avenue and East 167th Street, about three blocks away from the shooting scene. Police said he had been shot in the lower back; EMS rushed him to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition.
Law enforcement sources reported that the fourth victim, a 24-year-old man also shot in the lower back, was also brought via private means to Lincoln Hospital. He, too, is listed in stable condition.
Detectives are now working to piece together the circumstances leading up to the shooting. Police sources said Sunday morning they do not yet know the motive for the gunfire, and have yet to obtain a description of the shooter responsible.
So far, no arrests have been made in the active and ongoing investigation, police said.
