Police are looking for the driver of a silver Honda who struck and killed a 65-year-old woman in Brooklyn and then took off.
Dorothy Parker was crossing Remsen Avenue, between Church Avenue and Avenue A, in East Flatbush at about 9:50 p.m. Sunday when she was struck by a silver, four-door Honda Accord that was made between 2003 and 2005, according to the NYPD.
The vehicle was traveling south on Remsen Avenue, and Parker was not in the crosswalk at the time of the crash, police said.
Parker, who lived just blocks away from the scene of the crash, was hit by the passenger side of the car and fell onto the road, landing under a parked pickup truck, according to police. She was taken to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in critical condition with a head injury, but later died.

The driver stopped momentarily after hitting Parker, but then turned right on Avenue A and fled the scene, police said.
The NYPD released surveillance footage of the suspect’s car Thursday night. The department is asking anyone with information or who sees a vehicle matching the description with damage to the front and passenger side, as well as the passenger side mirror, to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-8477.
