The NYPD is investigating the death of a man who was found stabbed in Greenwich Village early Friday morning.
At 1:27 a.m. on May 13, officers from the 6th Precinct responded to a 911 call regarding a man stabbed at the intersection of West 4th Street and 6th Avenue. Upon their arrival, officers found 28-year-old Samer Abdalla, of Battery Avenue in Brooklyn, with stab wounds to his torso.
Paramedics rushed Abdalla to NYC Health & Hospitals/Bellevue, where he was pronounced dead.
Further investigation found that Abdalla was involved in a dispute with a group of men prior to the attack, all of whom fled the scene on foot prior to when the police arrived. A weapon was not recovered yet, and no arrests have been made at this time.
The investigation remains ongoing.
