A man clings to life after being shot outside a Brooklyn restaurant early on Monday morning.
Law enforcement sources said the shooting occurred outside the Room 1 Hundred restaurant located at 100 Jamaica Ave. in Cypress Hills just after 1 a.m. on Dec. 2.
Officers from the 75th Precinct, in responding to a 911 call about the incident, found the victim, a 35-year-old man, suffering from a single gunshot wound to his head.
EMS rushed the wounded man to Brookdale University Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.
Well after sunrise Monday, NYPD Crime Scene Unit members were still combing the location of the shooting near the corner of Jamaica and New Jersey Avenues. As many as five shell casings and other pieces of evidence were recovered.
Law enforcement sources said detectives are canvassing nearby security camera footage in the hopes of spotting a potential suspect. So far, police have yet to establish a motive for the shooting.
No arrests have been made in the ongoing investigation, police said.

Through Nov. 24, the 75th Precinct reported 50 shooting incidents year-to-date, equal to the total logged at the same point in 2023, according to the most recent CompStat report.
