A 7-year-old boy died on Wednesday after he was pinned between a van and a school bus in Far Rockaway, Queens, police said.
Cameron Brown, who lived just blocks from where he was killed, was crossing Gipson Street behind the stationary bus when a red Ford van hit and pinned him to the bus, according to cops. When first responders arrived, he was unconscious and unresponsive with severe body trauma.
Brown was rushed to St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in critical condition but couldn’t be saved, police said.
The 22-year-old driver of the van remained at the scene, as did the bus driver, police said. The NYPD’s investigation is ongoing.
