Detectives are looking for the suspect who stabbed a young man in Coney Island on Friday afternoon.
Law enforcement sources said the incident happened at about 3:15 p.m. on Sept. 1 near the corner of West 24th Street and Mermaid Avenue.
Officers from the 60th Precinct and NYPD PSA 3 found the victim a block away from the crime scene, collapsed and covered in blood. The victim had been stabbed multiple times about his body, according to published reports.
EMS rushed the victim to Coney Island Hospital, where he’s listed in critical condition, police said.
As of Saturday morning, no arrests have been made in the case; police did not have information about a possible motive or a suspect’s description. Sources familiar with the case said the victim has proven uncooperative.
