Police arrested a man for allegedly killing a 48-year-old that had attempted to rob him in Manhattan on Thanksgiving.
NYPD officers on Thursday night slapped the cuffs on 47-year-old Victor Jones in connection with the shooting — charging him with murder, criminal endangerment, and criminal possession of a weapon.
As the Daily News first reported, the deceased man, Daniel Straker, was caught on video snatching a chain off of Jones’ neck in Washington Heights at around 11:45 p.m. on Thanksgiving.
Shortly after the apparent robbery, Jones brandished a firearm and shot Straker in the back.
Paramedics rushed Straker to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, where doctors pronounced him dead.
Police did not make any arrests on the scene, but ultimately cuffed Jones a week later for murder.
