A 17-year-old has been taken into custody in connection to a shooting that left three people injured in Brooklyn last month.

Police say that at 1:03 a.m. on July 11, a 33-year-old man was at the corner of Franklin Avenue and Fulton Street when he got into a verbal dispute with two men and a woman. One of the men pulled out a firearm and shot the victim in the right leg.

The bullet then ricocheted off of the pavement and hit two bystanders: a 50-year-old man was hit in the foot and another 50-year-old man was shot in the leg. The suspects then fled the scene on foot northbound on Franklin Avenue.

All three victims were taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County in stable condition.

A 17-year-old boy was taken into custody on Aug. 2 and he was charged with attempted murder, assault, criminal possession of a loaded firearm and reckless endangerment. His identity is being withheld due to his age.

The other two suspects remain at large. The investigation is ongoing.
