Police are searching for a suspect who fatally shot a 28-year-old man in Brooklyn in January.
According to police, the man was gunned down in front of 1275 Herkimer St., Ocean Hill, on Jan. 24 at approximately 11:26 p.m. Cops from the 73 Precinct arrived to find the victim with bullet holes riddled throughout his body.
EMS brought the victim to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center where he arrived in critical condition and was later pronounced dead.
The suspect fled the scene on foot before police arrived.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Murder has gone up dramatically in the area. The murder rate has increased a whopping 150 percent over the same time last year. Meanwhile, the area is experiencing a 7.37 drop in overall crime, according to NYPD data.
