Police are investigating the deaths of two men who were found shot in an East Village housing development.
According to the NYPD, at 7:34 p.m. on Oct. 27 police responded to a 911 call of shots fired inside 635 East 12 Street, part of the Campos Plaza NYCHA Development. Upon their arrival, officers found a 21-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his torso and a 24-year-old man who was shot in his left leg.
Both men were rushed to NYC Health & Hospitals/Bellevue, where the 21-year-old man was pronounced dead — his identity is being withheld pending family notification. The 24-year-old man is listed in stable condition.
No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
