There will be an interactive puppet show this Sat., Feb. 28, in Spanish and English, for children aged five to 12 years. “The Encounter of Juan and Pedro Animal,” is a comedic puppet show, with the main characters based on Tweedle Dee and Tweeddle Dum who find themselves in tricky situations that requires advice from the audience. The show will have live music with drums, bell and flutes. Puppeteer Jose Lopez, who is the winner of the UNIMA Citation of Excellence, is amongst those performing this weekend.
The associations that arranges the bilingual performances is called (SEA), and The Society of Educational Arts is producing the show at its Los Kabayitos Puppet Theatre at 107 Suffolk St. SEA is a five-year-old not-for-profit Hispanic/Bilingual arts organization which also operates in Puerto Rico and Orlando.
