An escaped prisoner was caught Monday after he fled from Department of Homeless Services police in Brooklyn two days before, the NYPD said.
Jose Bisono-Torres, 31, had gotten away from two DHS officers on Saturday at about 5:30 p.m. while they were taking him to Brooklyn Central Booking on Smith and Schermerhorn streets, police said.
He was later caught and charged with escape.
It was not immediately clear why Bisono-Torres, of East New York, was originally arrested.
