The Hard Rock Cafe New York was on fire Wednesday afternoon…with smoking hot firefighters!
The Times Square restaurant showed support for New York’s Bravest by hosting the FDNY 2016 Calendar of Heroes meet-and-greet to celebrate the department’s 150th anniversary.
The 13 buff emergency responders cheerfully posed with fans and signed calendars as part of the FDNY Foundation’s goal to raise more than $150,000 to help spread awareness for fire safety, according to the organization’s executive director Jean O’Shea.
The firefighters turned calendar models told amNewYork they are glad that being featured helps to spark interest in the foundation’s cause. “Being in the calendar is just putting a face to the job that we do,” Kismartovi Mejia of Engine 314 said.
In addition to mingling with the calendar models, fans were able to view the commemorative fire truck and purchase merchandise from the Hard Rock New York’s limited-edition FDNY collection, on sale now. All of the calendar proceeds, and a portion of merchandise proceeds, will benefit the FDNY Foundation.
