Meanwhile, at St. Paul’s Chapel near Ground Zero, below, West Villagers Earl Carter, left, and Nancy Baxter pointed to a friend’s name on a flag with the names of the 9/11 victims. Their friend, Jeffrey Pike Hardy, was a bass player and often played with musician Baxter at Folk City. Above right, flowers and a note on the chapel fence thanked the SEAL’s for a job well done.
