A fire broke out at a popular Staten Island pizzeria early Friday morning that tore through a row of stores, according to the FDNY.
The blaze erupted at around 12:10 a.m. at Bario’s pizzeria, located at 446 Nome Ave., and then spread to six other businesses along the block.
The two-alarm fire was brought under control at 1:59 a.m., according to the FDNY. One firefighter suffered minor injuries. No one else was other injured.
The damage caused by the fire was on full display Friday morning. Debris was strewn all over the sidewalk outside the businesses.
The FDNY has yet to determine the cause of the fire and it is under investigation.
