Detectives are looking for a group of crooks who attacked and robbed a pair of teenagers in Manhattan last month.
Authorities say that at 9 p.m. on Jan. 22, a 16-year-old girl and 16-year-old boy were approached by a group of unknown individuals in front of 327 West 43rd Street. The group approached under the guise of wanting to sell the teens marijuana.
The group then tried to take the girl’s bag by pushing her to the ground and kicking her repeatedly. The crooks were unsuccessful, which caused them to set their sights on the 16-year-old boy. They snatched the boy’s phone from his jacket pocket and fled the scene westbound on 43rd Street towards 9th Avenue.
The NYPD released a video of the suspects taken from the scene:
Anyone with information in regard to the identity of these individuals is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or on Twitter @NYPDTips. All calls are strictly confidential.
