Harvesting pizza

One child picked fresh peppers and eggplant Saturday for a pizza party in the Children’s Magical Garden de Carmen Rubio at Norfolk & Stanton Sts. The children also grew and picked tomatoes and basil, before rolling the dough and grilling their pizzas. Two groups, New Yorkers for Better Neighborhoods and Times Up!, helped out with supplies and volunteers.
