Police in Staten Island are searching for a suspect who allegedly stabbed and critically injured a 35-year-old man Wednesday afternoon.
According to law enforcement sources, the incident occurred on Nov. 6 at around 12:35 p.m. The victim and suspect were engaged in a dispute in front of a home at 41 Maple Ave. in Port Richmond. Police sources said the dispute was over property but could not give more information about what may have led to the argument.
But the war of words turned physical, police said, when the suspect whipped out a sharp object and began brutally stabbing the victim throughout his body.
At this point, the suspect fled the bloody scene to parts unknown before officers from the 121st Precinct arrived.
Meanwhile, EMS responded and rushed the victim to Richmond University Medical Center in critical condition.
Police on Wednesday released surveillance photos of the suspect, who remains at large.
So far, no arrests have been made, but the investigation remains ongoing, authorities said.
