A 30-year-old man was fatally shot in front of the Alfred E. Smith houses early yesterday morning, the NYPD said.
George Taliferro of Pearl Street and St. James Place on the Lower East Side was found with a gunshot wound to the torso at 4:13 a.m. He was pronounced dead at New York Downtown Hospital.
The NYPD did not provide a description of a suspect, pending the investigation.
