As a result, a physical altercation ensued between the two. The suspect shoved the victim after forcibly taking $700 from her pocket. The suspect then fled the location on foot, heading eastbound toward Walton Avenue.
There were no reported injuries as a result of this incident.
The NYPD released a photo of the suspect, who they describe as a man standing 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, a blue hooded sweatshirt, a gray knit cap and light sneakers.
