Two married Queens cops were arrested at their home on Monday morning after allegedly attacking each other during a dispute, sources familiar with the matter reported.
Police said officers 24-year-old Shaye Lall and 24-year-old Alex Lall and live within the confines of the 103rd Precinct, which covers Jamaica, Queens; they are married to each other, sources said.
However, things apparently turned violent between the couple on May 6 when they were both off-duty.
Police rushed to the home at around 7:08 a.m. on May 6 to discover the pair in a heated argument. The source states that the husband and wife each accused each other of striking them in the face before choking them.
Both individuals are said to have suffered pain and red marks around the facial area. It is unclear what led to the melee. The fight apparently happened in front of their infant child, who was not physically harmed.
Both officers were charged with second-degree strangulation, third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child. Officer Alex Lall was additionally hit with a second-degree harassment charge.
Alex Lall apparently works out of Transit District Bureau 11 in the Bronx. Police did not disclose where Shaye Lall is stationed.
