A Maserati driver was shot multiple times while filling up his luxury vehicle at a Harlem gas station during an apparent carjacking gone bad Wednesday morning, police reported.
The shocking incident unfolded at around 8:26 a.m. on Nov. 27 at the BP station located near the corner of Park Avenue and 129th Street.
According to police sources, a 32-year-old male victim was in the midst of refueling his Maserati at the service station when he was shot multiple times in what police believe to be an attempted carjacking.
The driver managed to get back inside his car and drove several feet away into the middle of the street before stopping.
Officers from the 25th Precinct responded moments later and found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds to the left leg, left arm, and right shoulder. EMS rushed him to Harlem Hospital for treatment; he is expected to survive.
Officers swarmed the scene, sealing off both the gas station and the vehicle that was left abandoned in the roadway — its doors open and radio blaring.
Police did not describe the shooter. No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.
