Pardon me, do you have any mustard ice cream?
The New York-based Van Leeuwen Ice Cream company, famous for its dairy and vegan products, announced the launch of five new flavors to be sold exclusively at Walmart locations nationwide.
However, the flavors are not all that one may expect from a confectionery company. Van Leeuwen has collaborated with Grey Poupon, the mustard company, to create a Grey Poupon and pretzel flavored treat sure to interest some brave customers.
Other new flavors include Campfire S’mores, Summer Peach Crisp, Honey Cornbread and Strawberry Jam and Espresso Fior di Latte Chip.
“Walmart is a great partner and we are thrilled they have welcomed us back to launch five summer-themed flavors nationwide,” said Van Leeuwen Co-Founder and CEO, Ben Van Leeuwen on June 1. “The Van Leeuwen team couldn’t be more excited to give Walmart shoppers the opportunity to try out what are sure to be the next internet-breaking ice cream flavors of the summer, including our latest collaboration with Grey Poupon.”
These new exclusive pints will refresh the last seven flavors in rotation, which were released in the spring which included fan-favorites Kraft Macaroni and Cheese, Pizza and Hot Honey.
In this seasonal rotation, Van Leeuwen’s five new flavors will be available in 3,500 Walmart locations for a 10-week rotation in all 50 states.
“Refreshing our flavor selection at Walmart stores has allowed Van Leeuwan to create new unique flavors widely available to ice cream lovers in every corner of the country,” said Van Leeuwen. “Staying true to our artisanal processes, like using single-origin arabica beans from Guatemala for our Espresso Fior di Latte Chip, and highlighting the fresh and nostalgic flavors we all know so well. These pints offer something delicious for every member of your household whether they like their desserts savory or sweet.”
