New Yorkers can expect typical summer weather in the week ahead, with seasonal temperatures and a chance of thunderstorms.
Temperatures throughout the week will remain about the same, with highs in the mid-80s and lows in the 70s, but humidity and chances of rain will change.
While Monday was relatively dry, the city will likely see sporadic storms Tuesday through Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.
There’s a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms all day Tuesday. Wednesday will hold the peak of the storm system with a 60 percent chance in the afternoon and evening. There’s a 30 percent chance of those storms continuing through Thursday night.
The weather will finally clear up on Friday, which is forecast to be mostly sunny, the NWS said.
