New Yorkers can trade their galoshes for sunglasses, just in time for the weekend.
After several consecutive days of high humidity and rain, the sun returned to New York City Friday afternoon.
The morning started out with some showers, but the clouds cleared in the afternoon. The temperature was expected to top out around 74 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
The sunny weather will continue through the weekend, with highs in the 80s and overnight lows in the 60s for both Saturday and Sunday.
Monday is expected to start off sunny with a high near 84 degrees before rain moves in at night, per the weather service.
