Special victims detectives in Manhattan are looking for a pervert who sexually assaulted a young child in Harlem over the weekend.
According to law enforcement sources, the disturbing incident unfolded at around 3:15 p.m. on Feb. 1 along East 125th Street and Madison Avenue in the confines of the 25th Precinct.
Police sources said the unidentified suspect began following an 11-year-old girl. After trailing her, he approached her with an unsettling request.
“Can we hang out?” he asked the child, sources familiar with the incident reported. “I can give you cigarettes.”
Cops said the sicko then forced himself on her, touching her buttocks and kissing the girl on the mouth. The perpetrator escaped on foot.
The victim was not physically injured in the attack, police reported.
Police said the suspect was last seen wearing a blue coat, black hat, and dark pants.
