PHOTOS: New Yorkers hit the town after snow drops on the city

On Jan. 7, New York City residents woke up to the first snowfall of the new year.

While many busted out the shovels early to get a jump on clearing roads and sidewalks, many New Yorkers took advantage of the snow day and went outside to play in the new snow.
