President John F. Kennedy has a long history with New York.
Kennedy, who was gunned down on Nov. 22, 1963, in Dallas, spent a good deal of time in the Big Apple. He lived in both Riverdale and Bronxville as a child. Later, as president, he would stay at the Carlyle Hotel when he visited.
