Police are investigating a horrific murder-suicide in Queens on Friday night in which a husband stabbed his wife to death, then hung himself.
Law enforcement sources said the tragedy occurred just before 7:26 p.m. on Nov. 8 at a home on Albert Road near Whitelaw Street in Ozone Park.
Officers from the 106th Precinct were called to the residence after receiving a 911 call about a woman stabbed. Upon arriving, they found Donne Dojoy, 27, with multiple stab wounds to her torso. Responding paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene.
The New York Post reported that the victim’s 33-year-old husband had sent a message to Dojoy’s sister earlier in the evening telling her his wife was dead, prompting the initial call to police.
During a search for Dojoy’s husband, cops reportedly found him hanging from a tree in a marshy area off 165th Street in Howard Beach, according to the New York Post.
