On Saturday, the Parks Department and New York Junior League unveiled
renovations to James J. Walker Park and the Tony Dapolito Recreation Center on Clarkson St. Parks and the Junior League also planted a tree in partnership with Mayor Bloomberg’s MillionTreesNYC initiative, and unveiled a mural on the rec. center’s roof. The Junior League’s funding of roof repairs means the center’s indoor track can now be used when it rains.
