Rainhas Churrascaria, Queens’ beloved Brazilian steakhouse, will be celebrating its 10-year-anniversary with an Argentinian pop-up concept. Simply Skirt Steak will transform a parking lot into a resort-like oasis.
Starting on July 29, Simply Skirt Steak will offer its Skirt Steak Platter, which includes a Caesar salad made with baby romaine and signature Caesar dressing. Guests will receive a side of homemade cheese bread with their 6-ounce skirt steak. The steak will be dressed with fresh chimichurri sauce with another side, being hand-cut French fries from Idaho potatoes fried in peanut oil.
Simply Skirt Steak will also offer various drinks to pair with your meal. Some include their specialty cocktails like the Pineapple Cabana, which is a mix of Caribbean liquors inside an actual pineapple. You will also have the choice to cool down with frozen cocktails. They offer flavors including Piña Colada, Frozen Red or White Sangria. There will also be offers of different wines by the glass or by the bottle, as well as beers by the bottle.
The parking lot turned into an outdoor dining space is vast. It features table seating that is shaded by umbrellas that provide shade from the sweltering summer sun. The space is decorated with well-taken care of live plants, as well as outdoor lounging areas.
For those interested in some entertainment while they wait for their meal, Simply Skirt Steak will have a miniature putting green, and games like Jenga and Cornhole. Music will accompany your meal, paired with an outdoor bar completing the resort-like experience. This pop-up experience will make you feel like you really got to leave the city to go on the tropical vacation of your dreams.
Simply Skirt Steak will operate as a pop-up until mid-October. The entry fee to the pop-up will be $29.95 per person. The operation hours are Sunday to Thursday from 5 – 10 p.m. as well as Friday to Saturday from 5 p.m. – 12 a.m. The pop-up will be located on 108-01 Northern Blvd.
