Police are searching for two stickup men who robbed a Bronx delivery worker of food and cash over the weekend.
According to police sources, a 20-year-old man was making a food delivery inside of an apartment building located near Jacobus Place and West 225th Street in Marble Hill at around 6:22 p.m. on March 8 when he sat down in the building’s stairwell. Two men initially passed by the delivery worker who was still wearing his bicycle helmet before returning and confronting him.
With one of the robbers brandishing a pistol, cops said, the pair not only stole the food he was delivering but also physically removed $281 in cash; they then fled the building on foot, cops said.
The delivery worker was not injured during the robbery.
Authorities describe one of the crooks as standing between 5 feet, 10 inches and 6 feet tall with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, and black sneakers.
Police said the second man is believed to be medium build and was last seen wearing a black jacket, gray jeans, and gray and white sneakers.
Investigators have released surveillance images of the suspects in hopes they will be recognized.
