Detectives from the Bronx’s 48th Precinct are leading the investigation and searching for 31-year-old Sh-Ward Bee, who has a last-known address in Mount Vernon, N.Y.
Law enforcement agents suspect Bee of shooting 29-year-old Stefon Barnes, of Frederick Douglass Boulevard in Harlem, as he was shopping inside the Gourmet Deli on 851 East Tremont Ave. in West Farms at approximately 4:25 a.m. on March 31.
When the cops arrived, they found Barnes, bloodied and shot one time in the right thigh, police sources said. EMS brought Barnes to St. Barnabas Hospital in critical condition where he later died, police authorities said.
