Brooklyn detectives are questioning two people in connection with a deadly shooting on Saturday night, authorities said.
According to police sources, the incident unfolded at the intersection of 54th Street and Church Avenue in East Flatbush at around 8:43 p.m. on April 27 when a hail of bullets rang out.
Officers from the 67th Precinct rushed to the scene after being notified by a 911 call of the shooting. When they arrived, they found the victim, a 24-year-old man, sitting inside a car with multiple gunshot wounds to the abdomen.
EMS rushed the man to Brookdale University Hospital, where succumbed to his wounds. The man’s identity is being withheld pending family notification.
Cops could be observed investigating well into the night, combing over and around the vehicle for bullet casings and other evidence.
The NYPD confirmed that they took two people into custody for questioning, however, they have yet to be charged as of Sunday morning.
The investigation remains ongoing.
