The Hudson River Park Pageant is currently gearing up for its third year. Workshops to create the pageant’s giant puppets and costumes started this month and are ongoing in the Church Street School for Music and Art, at 74 Warren St., through the date of the pageant, Sat., May 21. Costume workshops are on Wednesdays, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., with artist Soule Golden. Puppet workshops are on Saturdays, 12 noon to 4 p.m., with artist Lucrecia Novoa. The pageant and its performers bring attention to the restoration of the Hudson River’s native species and habitats, and address climate change in New York City.
