A city teacher was charged with grand larceny Wednesday for allegedly using a coworker’s credit card at a Bloomingdale’s retail store, the NYPD said.
A Department of Education spokesman said Faith Ayala, 44, who was arrested at 11:40 a.m. in southeastern Bronx, will be reassigned to clerical work outside of city schools. She has been a DOE employee since 2003 with a $64,006-a-year salary. She was most recently working in the department’s Active Teacher Reserve pool. An NYPD spokeswoman had no information on how much she tried to buy at the department store.
