Police are on the hunt for the teen who beat a senior outside of her Chelsea home on Monday, authorities said.
The incident occurred at around 11:50 a.m. along West 17th Street and 8th Avenue on Jan. 6. Cops say a 79-year-old woman was walking her dog near her apartment when a teen left the building and engaged her in a verbal dispute.
The altercation turned violent, law enforcement sources said, when the teen punched the woman across her head and face, leaving her with pain and bruising.
The suspect, who was last seen wearing all black and wearing red sneakers, fled the scene of the attack westbound on 17th Street.
Officers from the 10th Precinct responded to the incident. EMS treated the victim at the scene.
Detectives have released surveillance images of the suspect, hoping the teen will be recognized and brought to justice.
