An Upper Eastside McDonald’s was left a bloody mess Monday afternoon after a brutal dispute, police sources said.
Happy meals were canceled and the 1872 Third Avenue restaurant was evacuated on Oct. 31 where diners were given a Halloween fright when a bloodied man burst into the eatery begging for aid, cops confirmed. Officers from the 23rd Precinct responded to a 911 call around 2:30 pm of a man profusely bleeding inside of the McDonald’s but the incident did not originate there.
Police reported that two men got into an argument that swiftly turned physical inside of an electronic store at 1864 Third Avenue. A 33-year-old man punched a 27-year-old man who then crashed through a glass display case, lacerating his wrist. The victim, dripping blood, fled down the block to McDonald’s were he begged for help. EMS rushed the victim to Mount Sinai hospital where he is reportedly in stable condition.
The scene left diners shocked and dismayed as they struggled to determine what exactly had taken place.
“There was blood everywhere. All over the floor and door handle–everywhere,” 83-year-old-local Doris Parker told amNewYork Metro. “That is just how it is. I didn’t see it happen but I saw him inside covered in blood.”
The McDonald’s was closed for several hours following the incident.
