They’ve been workin’ on the railroad…; High Line opening

The second section of the High Line park will open at 11 a.m. Wed., June 8, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on the High Line at 20th St. The second section of the park built on a former railroad viaduct extends to 30th St. and will connect the Meatpacking District with West Chelsea and the West Side rail yards.

Four stairways and two elevators will provide access to the second section: Stairs are at 23rd, 26th, 28th and 30th Sts. and elevators are at 23rd and 30th Sts.
