Sunday, Aug. 28, 2016, marks the ninth annual International GoTopless Day, and celebrants in Manhattan got in on the activism with a march and rally

Though rallies have been held in the past, this is the second annual march in the city.

It is legal for men and women to be topless in public in New York City, but demonstrators look to remove the stigma against women who do take off their shirts.
