The sixth Vegandale Festival will get underway at Randall’s Island Park on Sept. 25, returning to the Big Apple’s events calendar for the first time in two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Attendees can enjoy great vegan food from more than 200 vendors, including 50 from out of town. There will be live music, art installations, contests, dancing, drinking, and much more.
“Attendees can get excited for Southern Fried Vegan, a comfort food favorite hailing from California and known for their Beer-Cheeze Battered Beyond Burgers, Oh My Cod Vegan Seafood, coming from Florida and featuring their Banana Blossom Battered Fish and Chips, and Snackrilege, a festival staple headed from Oregon with their famous Lord of the Wings, a juicy buffalo sammie. And that’s just to name a few!” said Jenna Owen, a Director, Marketing and Communications for Vegandale Festival.
Best-selling author and content creator Lauren Toyota will be hosting the full festival tour and will be having dedicated time slots for a book signing at each event. Toyota created this festival in hopes to leave animal exploitation in the past and to show people how delicious vegan food can taste.
“Vegandale is a mecca for the ethically minded and hungry, with the best of vegan food, goods, and services co-existing on one city block in downtown Toronto,” said Owen. “This premiere destination for the vegan and vegan-curious is the only one of its kind, promoting a world where animal exploitation is a thing of the past. With roots in abolitionism, our unapologetic messaging is the connection between each project we touch. But we couldn’t contain all of that to just one city block, so we’ve packed up to take over the world!”
Vegandale Festival is excited to be back in New York, and it is one of their biggest shows on the tour.
Tickets can be purchased online at vegandalefest.com, or at the door based on availability.
