Cops are looking for a duo who stole a car in Hell’s Kitchen and dragged a woman several feet in the process.
Authorities say that at 11:25 p.m. on June 16, a 32-year-old woman was unloading the trunk of a silver 2013 GMC Acadia, which was parked and running in the vicinity of 10th Avenue and West 42nd Street, while a 30-year-old woman was standing outside of the vehicle on the passenger side and another 30-year-old woman was seated in the back seat. Two unknown men approached the car, with the first suspect entering the driver’s side and the second getting into the passenger’s seat.
The first suspect started driving the car northbound on 10th Avenue. The 32-year-old victim jumped into the trunk of the car and the 30-year-old woman was pulled for several feet before falling to the ground.
The suspects abandoned the car on foot at West 45th Street and 10th Avenue. The victim who was dragged suffered scrapes and bruises to her body and refused medical attention at the scene. The other two victims were not injured.
The NYPD released photos of the suspects as well as video of the incident, followed by video of the suspects at 11:56 p.m. that same day walking between Times Sq-42 St subway station and 42 St/Port Authority Bus Terminal.
