When Hillary Clinton needed five swipes for a successful entry to the NYC subway, it became a local story not because of mean-spiritedness. We all just felt her pain. From rookies to the well-seasoned commuter, the swipe-repeat cycle is something we’ve all felt. The struggle is real: New Yorkers, facing the phaseout of the card we love to hate and hate to love, still don’t have the swipe down after all these years.
