Brooklyn man shot during early-morning robbery attempt: cops

A man is recovering after being shot during a robbery attempt in Brooklyn on Tuesday morning, police reported.

Law enforcement sources said the incident happened near 2811 Church Ave. in Flatbush just before 5 a.m. on April 22.

Officers from the 67th Precinct found the victim, a 28-year-old man, who sustained a gunshot wound to his left leg.

EMS rushed the victim to Kings County Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. No property had been taken in the robbery attempt. 

So far, no arrests have been made in the case. Police did not provide a description of the shooter. 

The investigation remains ongoing, police said.
