Brooklyn detectives have charged the daughter of a man found man to death on Tuesday night in an apparent domestic dispute.
Police said 20-year-old Josephine Santiago allegedly attacked her father, 41-year-old Jose Acevedo, in front of her home at 12 De Sales Place in Bushwick at about 8:58 p.m. on March 4.
Officers from the 83rd Precinct, in responding to a 911 call about an assault in progress, found Acevedo unconscious and unresponsive with multiple stab wounds to his chest and back.
Law enforcement sources said Wednesday that police believe Santiago allegedly stabbed Acevedo following a verbal argument.
EMS rushed Acevedo to Brookdale University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Tuesday’s stabbing was the third homicide in the 83rd Precinct this year; there were none at this same point last year, according to the most recent CompStat report.
Santiago, meanwhile, was taken into custody as part of the ongoing investigation. Following questioning, she was charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
