Brooklyn detectives need the public’s help in finding a suspect wanted in connection with a violent slashing near a school over the weekend.
The NYPD released on Tuesday night an image of the perpetrator sought for the attack in front of P.S. 325 at 875 Williams Ave., across the street from the Breukelen Houses, in Canarsie at about 11:15 p.m. on March 29.
Police reported that the victim, a 23-year-old woman, became involved in a dispute with the suspect for reasons that were not disclosed.
The exchange eventually turned bloody, cops said, when the female suspect pulled out a knife and slashed the victim about her face, arm and torso, leaving her with multiple lacerations.
Following the bloody attack, law enforcement sources reported, the assailant fled on foot southbound along Williams Avenue.
The incident was reported to the 69th Precinct. EMS rushed the victim to Brookdale University Hospital for treatment; she was listed in stable condition.

According to the most recent CompStat report, felony assaults are up 6.8% in the 69th Precinct year-to-date. Overall, major crime is down more than 11% in the command.
