Police are searching for the pair of gunmen who shot two people in the Bronx on New Year’s Day.
According to the investigation, the suspects discharged their firearms near the intersection of E. 194 Street and Bainbridge Avenue at around 3 p.m. — sending locals scrambling for cover from the barrage of bullets.
When authorities arrived at the scene, they found a 21-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the left leg, and a 22-year-old male who sustained a gunshot wound to his right foot.
Paramedics rushed both victims in stable condition to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where they are expected to recover from their injuries.
The suspects, meanwhile, fled the scene along E. 194 Street towards the Kingsbridge Road subway station before police arrived.
An NYPD spokesperson did not announce a motive for the shooting, but said the investigation remains ongoing.
