A perp slashed a 60-year-old man during a fit of rage in Midtown last month, and investigators are asking for the public’s help tracking down the suspect.
According to police, the victim got into a heated argument with the male perpetrator on June 22 near 34th Street and Avenue of the Americas, when the criminal slashed the man in the face.
The suspect fled the scene before authorities arrived, and paramedics rushed the bloodied victim to a local hospital for treatment of his wounds.
Cops described the wanted man as having a medium complexion with a goatee, and said he was last seen wearing dark-colored clothing, along with black and white sneakers and a dark headband.
Between New Year’s Day and July 2, when the most recent NYPD data is available, there had been 2,534 felony assaults recorded in Manhattan. The streets of the Five Boroughs have seen 13,560 felony assaults during the same timeframe.
